We’re excited to announce that the pool officially opens tomorrow, Saturday, May 24th!

Below you will find the pool hours and a list of the pool rules.

2025 HONEY MEADOWS POOL SEASON

POOL OPENS SATURDAY, MAY 24, 2025 11:00 a.m.

The Honey Meadows HOA and Swim Metro Pools are eagerly preparing for the upcoming pool season and Opening Day.

Pool Hours:

May 24 – May 26:  11:00 am- 8:00 pm

May 27 – May 30: Tuesday– Friday 4 pm – 8 pm

May 31 – July 1: Saturday & Sunday 11 am- 8 pm

July 2- August 15:  Monday-Sunday 11 am – 8 pm

August 16 – August 17: Saturday & Sunday 11 am- 8 pm

POOL CLOSED August 18-22 (school in session)

August 23-24: Saturday & Sunday 11 am- 8 pm

POOL CLOSED August 25-28 (school in session)

August 29: 11 am – 8 pm

August 31-Sept 1: 11 am – 8 pm

 

1 “FREE” GUEST PASS VALID FOR 5 VISITS WILL BE ISSUED PER HOME. ADDITIONAL GUESTS ARE $5.00 PER DAY, PER GUEST.

 

I.  POOL RULES

The following rules will be strictly enforced for your safety and enjoyment of the pool.  Your cooperation is expected. The pool amenities may only be used by a Member in good standing and their guests. A Member must be a Honey Meadows homeowner or Authorized “Neighborhood Member” unless otherwise specified.

1.      All Members and their guest must sign-in at the gate upon entering the pool area. Please note the Lifeguards, Gatekeepers and Pool Committee Members reserve the right to enforce the sign-in procedure.

2.      All guest fees will be collected by the lifeguards and/or gatekeepers. (See guest fee schedule.)  Lifeguards will not allow non-Members to enter unless they are accompanied by a Member.

3.      Babysitters accompanying children to the pool must be at least 14 years old and responsible as assessed by the Lifeguard on duty. The Lifeguards have the authority to evaluate the responsibility level of the babysitters and contact the parent if deemed necessary.

4.      Watch your children always closely whenever they are near or in the water, regardless of their swimming ability.

5.      No Prolonged underwater swimming or breath-holding games allowed.

6.      No playing around pool drains.

7.      Guards are on duty for your protection.  Do not distract them in any way.  If your need to talk with one of them, wait until she/he is away from their guarding post.

8.      No artificial floating devices---water wings, life jackets, and inflatable ring---are permitted in the water, unless it is a Coast Guard approved vest.  Inner tubes or rafts are not allowed under any circumstances.

8a.   Modifications for Persons with disabilities.  

        If a pool patron requires the assistance of flotation devices as a modification for a qualified disability, that patron will notify the Pool Manager on duty of the need for such a modification on each visit upon entering pool.

9.      No diving from the poolside allowed in the shallow areas of the pool.

10.   No children 12 years of age or under regardless of swimming ability are allowed in the pool area without parent or responsible guardian. Parent/guardian must maintain visual contact with child at all times.

11.   A parent or qualified guardian must accompany and remain within arm’s length of any individual with known medical or physical conditions that could place them at higher than normal risk while bathing in the pool.

12.   Children over 12 years of age who wish to swim without a parent or guardian present and in water over their heads must pass a swimming test. The pool manager or a designated lifeguard will administer swimming test. Children who do not pass the test may not attend the swimming pool unaccompanied by a parent or guardian and will be restricted to the shallow end of the pool. A standard test will have children swim the length of the pool and tread water for one minute.

13.   Running, horseplay, playing ball or tag games are not allowed in the water, on the deck or locker rooms.

14.   All authorized patrons 18 years of age or older, may bring 2 guests only. In order to bring more guests’ patrons must obtain permission from the Property Management. Residents are responsible for guests’ actions.

15.   Radios or CD/tape players must be kept away from water. Volume should remain at a reasonable level, so as not to disturb other patrons. If a pool patron complains about the volume of the radio, it is the lifeguard’s responsibility to turn it down to a reasonable level.

16.   No abusive or profane language allowed at the pool area.

17.   Immediate expulsion for any fighting or violent acts committed. Persons causing undue disturbances will be asked to leave the pool area.

18.   Lifeguard is the absolute authority in all matters pertaining to the safety, operation, and management of the pool.

19.   Lifeguard on duty may ask a resident and/or guest to leave the pool area for a violation of rules and may bar further admittance pending a report to the Property Management Company within forty-eight (48) hours of the violation.

20.   All swimmers, including small children, must wear bathing suits to enter the pool. Children wearing diapers (including disposable diapers) must wear rubber pants over the diapers.

21.   Glass and any breakable items are prohibited at the pool to avoid accidents.

22.   Food and drink in paper, plastic containers or cans may be consumed providing the used containers are place in the trash cans. Please note the eating and drinking are not allowed by the pool’s edge or in the water, and there is no smoking within 100 feet of the pool  during pool hours.

23.   At the Lifeguard’s discretion, “adult swim” may be called ten minutes each hour during peak weekdays hours, weekends, and holidays. Members 17 years and under and their guests must stay completely out the water during adults-only swimming period. Exceptions: Babies held by parent.

24.   The consumption or possession of alcohol is strictly prohibited within the pool enclosure. Any Member possessing alcohol will be asked to leave the pool.

25.   Parental supervision is required for all children 6 years and younger using the restrooms.

26.   The use of the wading pool area is restricted to children five (5) years of age and younger. All children must be accompanied by an adult or sitter (14 years of age or older) in the wading pool area. Children without an adult in the wading pool area will be asked to leave.

27.   The Lifeguards will enforce the procedure for lightning and thunder based on guidelines of safe practice set forth by the American Red Cross. The procedure is as follow: from last sound of thunder, water will be cleared for a period of 20 minutes; from last sight of lightning, water and pool area will be cleared for a period of 45 minutes.

28.   The “Emergency signal” for clearing the pool is three (3) BLASTS OF THE WHISTLE. When this signal is sounded, all swimmers must leave the pool by the nearest ladder or pool edge.

29.   No pets allowed in the pool area.

Guest Policy

1.      Members may bring guests by paying $5.00 per-guest fee at the gate. Children 5 and younger are free. Guests must be accompanied by a Honey Meadows Member.  Houseguests staying longer than two days may pay a $10.00 per week fee or $25.00 per family.

2.      Extended or long-term visitors (i.e., summer exchange student and permanent babysitters (3 days a week or more) will be considered part of the Member’s household. Please contact a Pool Committee Member or lifeguard to add them to the member roster. They must be accompanied by a Member.

3.      Day- to- day babysitters are subject to the usual guest fee.

4.      Members are responsible for their guests’ fee and their conduct.

5.      Local guests will be limited to two visits to the pool per week.  Local guests are defined as living within a 25-mile radius of Honey Meadows.

6.      Guest must be accompanied by a Member when entering the pool area. The sign-in procedure and guest policy will be strictly enforced and monitored regularly.

7.      Each household member is allowed to bring two (2) guests at a time. Guest fees will be charged. The pool may be reserved for after hour parties with two (2) week notice by emailing email@communitygroup.com (see Clubhouse Rules).  Parties during pool hours should be scheduled by emailing email@communitygroup.com.

8.      Members, not in good standing, may not enter pool as “guests” of other Members.

The pool hours will be posted on the bulletin board.  The Lifeguards and Pool Committee have the authority to close the pools due to weather conditions or in consideration of the health and safety of the Members and their guests.

Honey Meadows pool will close during all home swim meets at 2:00 pm.

Remember, the Lifeguards, Pool Supervisor and the Pool Committee have the authority and are requested to enforce all rules. They are authorized to use their discretion to ensure the safe and proper operation of the pools. The Head lifeguard and Pool Committee have the authority to dismiss any Member and/ or their guest who is not in compliance with the pool rules.
